The common machining equipment of plastic mould includes lathe, grinder, EDM, wire cutter, milling machine and numerical control milling machine.

Lathe

Lathe is a kind of machine which mainly uses turning tools to turn the rotating workpiece. The lathe can also be used for the corresponding processing of drills, reamers, taps, dies and knurling tools.

Grinding machine

Most grinding machines use high-speed rotating grinding wheel for grinding, and a few use other grinding tools such as oilstone, abrasive belt and free abrasive for processing, such as honing machine, ultra precision machining machine, abrasive belt grinder, grinder and polishing machine.

EDM

EDM is widely used in the manufacture of various metal mould and mechanical equipment. EDM is a kind of special machining method which uses the electric erosion produced by pulse discharge between two poles immersed in working fluid to remove conductive materials, also known as EDM or electric erosion machining.

Wire cutter

Wire cutting machine can cut materials, such as high strength, high toughness, high hardness, high brittleness, magnetic materials, as well as precision, small and complex parts. Wire cutting technology and machine tools are widely used in all walks of life.

Milling machine

In addition to milling plane, groove, tooth, thread and spline shaft, milling machine can also process more complex profile, with higher efficiency than planer, which is widely used in mechanical manufacturing and repair departments.

CNC milling machine

CNC milling machine is a kind of automatic processing equipment developed on the basis of general milling machine. Their processing technology is basically the same, and their structure is also somewhat similar. CNC milling machine is divided into two categories: without tool library and with tool library. The CNC milling machine with tool magazine is also called machining center.
